CV

I work in digital accessibility and learning design, and I care deeply about how people experience accessibility work — not just whether something technically meets a standard.

I’m particularly interested in learning by doing, reflective practice, and creating spaces where people feel supported to engage with accessibility rather than intimidated by it.

Experience

University of East London

Digital Accessibility Specialist : April 2025 - Present

I currently work as an in-house digital accessibility specialist within professional services, supporting teams to embed accessibility into their everyday practices.

Working within an agile environment, I collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to provide advice, guidance, and practical support, helping ensure accessibility is a part of how our work is planned and delivered, rather than an afterthought. This includes writing Jira tickets, reviewing designs, testing websites/components and multimedia, and Word/PDF document review and remediation.

I also lead a Task and Finish group focused on accessibility statements, and offer targeted training and support to teams as needs arise.

University of Strathclyde

Digital Trainer (Accessibility) : January 2024 - April 2025 (FTC)

Designed, developed and delivered a suite of instructor-led digital accessibility workshops for professional services staff and academics. The emphasis was on practical, role-relevant learning rather than abstract guidance. Common themes included web content, e-learning, document and web development accessibility.
